I utterly hated that the text adventure parser in this did not follow the standard zmachine parser rules for things like 'x self', 'go out', 'i/inv' and so on. These conventions exist so that people don't have a miserable time with IF games because they're struggling with an obtuse parser.

I felt like I was wrestling with the stupid parser rather than being immersed in the spookiness. And there's impressive spookiness on display here! The premise is actually really cool and the ending could have been really chilling, but playing with a walkthrough open through a sheen of frustration destroyed any chance for me to be immersed even with the pitch perfect audio and visuals. Really impressive production values and polish but this one thing ruined it for me.

Also where was I supposed to get the code 1986 from, besides the aforementioned walkthrough?

It is written on the kitchen wall, the second time you enter the house.

Hey, I wanted to let you know steam doesn't appear to have the demo on the store page at all anymore. I was able to find the demo on GOG though.

Hey partners, great game

I loved this! Very well done and cannot wait to play the next chapter :)

The House Abandon was a mind-bending change of pace for me compared to all of the games I've played before. I love text-based games, and to add a horror twist on it is even better. As a part of the Stories Untold saga, it melded perfectly with the overall story and, at the same time, worked just as well on its own. Wonderfully done!!♡

Justed wanted to say how much I love this game. I've been looking forward to a sequel/second episode since it was first announced that The House Abandon would be one of multiple episodes. Absolutely riveting and spooky game with a great existential twist. I really, really hope a second is in production, but if not, I'm just happy you made this one! Thank you!

Link of the demo please?

Definitely got me a few times. I love how they took something so simple as a text-based game and made it so much more immersive.

Best said this way: "I'm not a cusser, but this scared the $*^! out of me!!! :D

After playing this demo I am definitely picking up the full game.

Finally got to play the demo with my friend, considering buying the whole game. Amazing work!
